Breakfast is part of what makes our New Jersey bed and breakfast inn so special, and we try to give you a breakfast experience to remember. Each morning we offer fresh fruit (it may be baked apples in the winter, merlot poached pears in the fall, homemade sorbet with berries in the  summer, or strawberry shortcake any time we are feeling decadent!). We often have freshly baked muffins or fruit breads, depending on that morning's menu. Our main course is plated and served to you either in the dining room or on the front porch, and it is as varied as raison bread French toast with orange marscarpone cheese, salmon cakes with poached eggs, hollandaise sauce and grilled asparagus, seasoned pork chops with creamy cheese grits and scrambled eggs, or a Tex-Mex special with black beans, eggs and salsa, and quesedillas on the side. If what we are serving that morning is not to your taste, we always have hot and cold cereals, eggs made to order, and toast. We provide a variety of fruit juices, teas, hot chocolate, and a never-ending pot of hot coffee.
Not everyone likes or can eat the same kind of food, and at The Pillars we do our best to accommodate special dietary needs. Please give us advanced notice if you need your breakfast to be pork free, wheat or glutton free, egg or dairy free, vegetarian or vegan, or suitable for those with celiac disease. We want all aspects of your stay at The Pillars to be the best possible.

We start your day with a hearty breakfast but recognize that you will probably be hungry again by dinnertime.
